Another Obama Overreach

During the presidency of Barack Obama, the nation has seen multiple occasions where the president decided to go around the requirements of the law to get his way.  The most prominent of these moves so far was the so called "recess" appointment of various federal officials when Congress was not in recess.  The illegality of that move has already been litigated and decided.  Now, another similar Obama move has come to the point of a court decision.  A federal court in Texas has ruled that Obama did not have the power to order the federal government not to begin deportation actions against those illegal aliens who were brought to the country as children.  In other words, the court said that Obama actually had to obey and enforce the law as written.

It is important to note that the court decision is on a motion for a preliminary injunction, so the standard for success is not as strict as it would be on a final decision.  The court only found that the plaintiffs had a likelihood of success on the merits.  There are other procedural wrinkles as well, but they do not affect the finding by the court.

Once again, Obama has been caught acting contrary to the law.  This is big news.  My guess is that no one in the mainstream media will cover the story.
