Storms Ahead?

Every time there is a hurricane, a snow storm, a tornado or some other severe weather, we hear that it was either caused or made worse by global warming.  How many times were we told that superstorm Sandy was the result of global warming?  So, it certainly is newsworthy when NOAA and other scientific groups have to reluctantly report that there is no discernable change in intensity of storms or other severe weather due to global warming.  Many of these reports came from organizations that wanted with every fiber of their being to report that storms were getting worse and global warming was the cause.  Just look at how NOAA words their report:  NOAA says that it is premature to conclude that there is any link between global warming and storm intensity.  Of course, NOAA goes on to tell us that they have found no link and that the storms have been pretty much constant for the last century.  Nevertheless, NOAA also says that there may be "as yet undiscerable" changes to the storms.

The truth is that there is no basis to claim that there is any such link.  After decades of global warming hype there is no basis to claim a link between severe weather and global warming.

So, have you seen this story plastered over the news media?  Have they reported that the stories and claims of the last twenty years have been shown to be wrong?  Have they told you that the global warming hype seems not to be real?  Of course not.  Instead, we hear about the brave protesters who have come forth to stop the Keystone Pipeline.  These protesters may be fighting against an environmental problem which DOES NOT EXIST, but that never stops the media from pushing the story.
