Nearly everyone in America would agree that Hillary Clinton has no problem telling lies. For the last eight years, we've listened to one lie after another from president Obama, and Hillary does just as much as he does when it comes to dishonesty. That's why it was so surprising Sunday when Hillary's running mate Time Kaine didn't bother to lie about her record. He was on the ABC Sunday morning show and was asked about the Russian reset. That reset is something that Hillary took credit for in her book. Martha Raddatz asked Kaine if the reset was a success in view of how Russia acted in the Crimea and with Ukraine in general. Here's his response:
"I don’t think you can make an argument that the relationship with Russia is in a good place right now. "
Kaine didn't even try to say that the reset worked. In other words, Hillary's reset policy (for which she took credit) was a failure. Surely, Kaine could have come up with a lie to spin Hillary's failure. I am sure that Hillary's staff fed such a lie to Kaine, but we have to give him kudos for staying with the truth.
Of course, the problem is that if one of the few foreign policy ideas that Hillary came up with was such a total failure, it means her record at the State Department is pretty terrible. When one remembers that her other big idea was to push for intervention in Libya which resulted in creating a failed state where terrorists flourish and millions of people have been forced to flee as refugees, then Hillary's record goes from bad to being a complete failure. Indeed, given her record, why would anyone ever trust her to be president?
