Yesterday, I posted about the unprovoked attack by a Palestinian man on a crowd of civilians walking on the street in Jerusalem. The terrorist opened fire on the crowd and killed two and wounded many more. The attack was stopped when the terrorist was himself shot by police.
Two things of importance have happened in the last day.
1. The Palestinian Authority (you know them, Israel's supposed partner for peace) honored the terrorist as a martyr and declared a day of celebration in honor of the attack.
2. The State Department issued a statement on the attacks in which it announced that the USA
“condemns in the strongest possible terms the terrorist attack that took place today in Jerusalem, which resulted in the death of two Israelis and injured several others. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of those killed and our hopes for a quick and full recovery for those wounded. There is absolutely no justification for the taking of innocent lives. We also condemn the statements glorifying this reprehensible and cowardly attack.”
Yesterday, I speculated that the Obama administration would stay silent on the terror attack. I was wrong, and I thought I should complete the record in that regard.
