A local Republican campaign headquarters in North Carolina was firebombed yesterday. Did you see the story in the news? Unless you looked carefully, you didn't. It didn't make the front page of any of the major newspapers with national followings. At the same time as the bombing, there was a very nasty message painted on the wall next to the GOP office making clear the hatred that led to the bombing.
The main media coverage of the bombing has been to blame it on Donald Trump. Get that? Trump's local office is bombed but for the media it is his fault. There could not be any clearer proof of media dishonesty and bias.
Think about the reverse. Imagine that a campaign office for Hillary Clinton had been bombed with an anti-Hillary message scrawled on the wall nearby. We would just be in the first hours of a week long hue and cry from the media denouncing that heinous act. It would all be blamed on Trump and his basket of deplorable followers. Instead, when it's a crazy follower of Hillary who bombs the Trump office, we get silence. Indeed, we get the media blaming the victim. No doubt, these same media people blamed the journalists executed by ISIS for their murders. The same media probably blamed the Jews for the holocaust or blacks for slavery.
There needs to be a major change in this country to bring honesty back.
