With all the talk today about Donald Trump's tax returns, there's a big part of the whole story that is missing. Here are the two story lines:
1. The New York Times got a copy of a 20 year old Trump tax return. After having experts review it, they found nothing wrong. The return was fine.
2. A while ago, Reuters reviewed five tax returns from the last few years filed by the Clintons and their foundation. As a result of the review, multiple "errors" were found in five foundation returns. The supposed errors all had to do with the Foundation concealing the names of foreign governments, businesses and people who gave massive amounts of cash to the Clinton organization. As a result of the Reuters' story, the Foundation said that it would file five "amended" tax returns that would "correct" the errors in the tax returns. We're still waiting for all of those amended tax returns.
So Trump filed accurate returns, but Hillary and her organizations not so much.
