Bernie Is Gone

Bernie Sanders dropped out of the Democrat presidential race today since he had already lost.  In typical Bernie fashion, though, he says he's staying on the ballot so that he can get as many delegates as possible to fight for planks in the platform.  Of course, as Bernie well knows, the platform is meaningless.

Quick, tell me one issue in the Democrat platform in 2016 which mattered.  How about the Republican platform; can you name one issue that mattered?  No one knows what is in the platform.  More important, no one cares what is in the platform.  Still, Bernie, as a true believer in Marxism, is going to fight for a leftist platform for the Democrats.  YAY!!!!

It would be nice if Bernie just said "I've lost and there's no point continuing the fight."  That's all; nothing more.  Bernie just can't bring himself to say those words, so he's busy fighting a meaningless fight that doesn't actually exist.

Think about how quickly Bernie's campaign collapsed.  After the Nevada caucuses were over, Bernie was the presumptive nominee for the Democrats.  He had won big in Nevada and won or tied for first in Iowa and New Hampshire.  Then all his opponents dropped out in favor of Joe Biden and the whole Bernie enterprise collapsed.  The truth is that the DNC rigged things so that Bernie was out and Old Joe was in.

It must doubly gall Bernie since he lost to a somewhat senile man who can't seem to say a single sentence longer than 5 words for which he remembers at the end of the sentence what he had started to say at the begninning.

So we're all stuck with the possibility that Joe Biden could (but likely won't) be the president.  The guy about whom it has been said that "he put the DEM in dementia" is a step closer to being president.  In my opinion, that would be worse than the corona virus.
