A few weeks ago, I wrote about how CBS News did a report about crisis conditions in NY hospitals. CBS, however, used video of crowded conditions in an overflowing Italian hospital for the report. There were no verified reports of patients without beds or in halls in New York at the time and ever since. This fraud by CBS was picked up by some in social media and CBS eventually released a statement blaming an "editing mistake" for using the wrong footage. CBS didn't even apologize for the attempted fraud.
Now it has happened again. The other day, CBS did a report about the big rise in corona virus cases in Philadelphia and worries that there would not be sufficient hospital space. Guess what! CBS used the same video of the Italian hospital as supposedly being the Philadelphia hospital this time.
Boy, those editing mistakes sure get around.
Shame on Fake News from CBS.
