The government's bogus statistics

The Labor Department admitted today that states covering about 20% of the US population did not submit reports this week on initial jobless claims (because of the Labor Day holiday), so the nubers were "estimated". Of course, when the total number of initial jobless claims was issued at 8:30 this morning and the number was better than expected, no one admitted that it was just a phony. In a world where a change of 5000 jobless claims is the difference between a positive surprise and a lackluster report, the idea that the figures were just estimated is astounding. Why not simply announce that the report will be delayed by a day? It is called honesty, something that the Obamacrats who run the Labor Department have apparently never heard of.

Shame on the fools at the labor Department who issued such a report.
