In a column in the Washington Post, Washington press insider Katrina Vanden Heuvel says the time for partisan posturing on the economy is over and we need a serious debate. Of course, she follows this plea by an entire column devoted to partisan posturing on the economy. Indeed, she is so blatant, that I thought at first that the article was a satire. Unfortunately, this denizen of liberal Washington circles was actually serious in what she wrote. It was comical to listen to Katrina set forth the good and bad proposals regarding the economy. He basic paradigm was this: if it is proposed by a Republican, it is bad. if it is proposed by Obama, it is merits consideration. Of course, even for the uber partisan Katrina, some of Obama's plans are not worth following if they sound too much like something the Republicans might like.
The truth is that Katrina is very much like the storm of the same name. she is a dangerous blow hard that could do serious damage to America.
