The Denver Post has endorsed Republican Cory Gardner over Democrat Mark Udall in the Colorado race for the senate. The response from the hard left had been one of unmitigated fury. Even more upsetting is the fact that the Denver Post normally endorses Democrats (like Obama in 2008 and 2012 as well as Udall himself in 2008 and many other.)
The main reason for the Post endorsement boiled down to Udall's running what the paper calls a "dishonest" campaign. Udall has run his campaign focused on lambasting Gardner for being against birth control and waging a war on women. The Post properly points out that these claims are untrue; Gardner is not against birth control. The paper criticizes Udall for campaigning on a lie.
In a way, it is fun to see the super leftists screaming about the endorsement of a Republican that results from their own dishonest and disgusting campaign tactics backfiring on them. Hopefully, enough of the American people will realize that telling lies is neither a good campaigning or governing strategy and they will kick the Democrats out of office.
