It's Hard To Take the Suppine Media Sometimes

There's been much talk lately about how Hillary Clinton never takes questions from the press.  In fact, she rarely takes questions from anyone.  The last press conference that Hillary held was in 2015.  It's an election year; there were around 50 primaries and caucuses, a convention and now a national campaign.  Through all that, Hillary Clinton has not answer questions in a press conference.  It's a pathetic thing to watch Hillary avoid the media especially since they are among her biggest supporters.  Today, it seems, all that recent talk finally led to some action.  Here's the scoop:

Hillary spoke to the press contingent that accompanies her on her fundraising trips with intermittent campaigning.  It was on her campaign plane.  Hillary went back to the press section and stood their for 89 seconds taking a few questions.  The first and most difficult question was "How was your weekend?"  I am not kidding.  The media gets no access to Clinton for months and then asks her "How was your weekend?"  Then came two campaign questions:  The first was "Are you ready?"  The second was "Do you have a Labor Day message?"  If you can believe it, Clinton wouldn't answer the second question.  I guess it was too tough.  She told the reporter to listen later today to hear her message.

I've watch Donald Trump take question after question after question.  I don't always like his answers, but I have a pretty good idea what he thinks on most of the important subjects.  He's told us.  Clinton, on the other hand, won't even answer anything.

Hillary's refusal to answer questions is best summed up by a recent fund raiser that she held.  She met with the super-rich bankers, lobbyists and other insiders who fund her campaign.  At the event, these mega-rich people were allowed to ask questions FOR A PRICE.  There was even a special price for Hillary to answer questions from children.  For a contribution of a mere $2700, Hillary would take a question from a child.  Even better, all of these questions and answers were off the record.  They were not allowed to be repeated in the press.

I am not kidding about this.  Clinton actually charged two thousand seven hundred dollars to answer a question from a child.  What sort of a person does this?

I guess I can answer my own question.  The person who does this is one who got $225,000 from banks and other mega-rich to give a twenty minute speech.  That comes to more than eleven thousand dollars per minute.  If a kid's question takes 15 second, then the $2700 charge is right in line with Hillary's regular speaking fees.

I think we finally have the motto for Clinton's campaign:  GREED IS GOOD.
