The latest dream floated by the left is that Hillary Clinton will run for mayor in New York City this year. To be fair, it is not a dream of all on the left; certainly comrade Bill DeBlasio is not in favor of the move. Most likely, it is just another fantasy that will never come to pass.
Here are a few reasons why:
1. Hillary doesn't even live in New York City. Maybe she could run as an "undocumented resident".
2. Even as a world financial capital, New York City does not present much of an opportunity for "fund raising" when it comes to foreign powers. Those Middle Eastern dictators want to buy influence at the White House, not Gracie Mansion.
3. Even Hillary would be embarrassed if her next position were just mayor.
