Can't he just be gone already? Does America really need to hear yet another speech from Barack Obama telling us just how great he is? We get it, Mr. President. We understand that you think you did a good job for the last eight years. It's a delusion, though. It may be a delusion you enjoy, but it is still a delusion. After eight years of Mr. O, the economy has never recovered. America is still at war with Islamic terrorism (or workplace violence or whatever phony name you want to use today.) America's prestige is lower than it has been since before World War II. Race relations have deteriorated. The only good thing is that Osama bin Laden is dead. Of course, we now have al-Baghdadi and ISIS to replace him (mostly thanks to you).
The Obamarathon of farewells continues today with the president's valedictory address. What is there to say that he hasn't already said twenty times in the past? What lies are left to tell? What phony retelling of events will we hear tonight? If Obama talks about the "arc of history" or the "international community" as if they are real things, the nation may vomit.
It's too bad I don't own a building across the street from the White House. If I did, there would be a sign on it today reading "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, Mr. Obama."
