Blumenthal keeps slipping

The latest poll out on the Senate race between McMahon and Blumenthal give the Democrat a seven point lead at 47-40%. this lead is larger than the margin of error, so Blumenthal is clearly ahead according to this latest poll. blumenthal's problem, however, is that his lead has been disappearing week after week and month after month. Not long ago, he was leading by 25%. The latest poll gives him just a seven point lead. All of this movement has been achieved by McMahon who has run a campaign that has been free from any negative ads directed at Blumenthal thus far. I have to believe that comparison ads will move the results further towards McMahon. There are simply too many people in conecticut who will not be happy with Blumenthal's view on government bailouts, endless spending and Obamacare. These folks will move towards McMahon once the word gets out about Blumenthal's views.

Right now, Blumenthal still has to be considered the favorite, but it is far from certain that he will win. For the GOP, it is an unusual situtation in Connecticut.
