The storm clouds gather

As the latest attempt by the Iranians to distract the world from their nuclear program, there is a maked increase in tensions between Israel and Lebanon. Last week, the Lebanese opened fire on a group of Israeli soldiers who were cutting down a tree on Israeli territory. Despite Lebanese claims that the Israelis had crossed into Lebanon, the Israeli version of the facts has now been confirmed by the United Nations forces in the area (who are no friend to the Israelis). Today, the president of Iran announced that he is going to Beirut to show his solidarity with the Lebanese; he also announced that Iran will fully support Lebanon and Syria in any confrontation with Israel. Then the Iranian controlled puppet terrorist froup hezbollah announced that Israel was responsible for the assassination of Lebanese leader Harari a few years ago. This was perhaps the most amazing of all the developments. Harari was assassinated by Syrian agents when he led Lebanon away from Syrian control. The Assad regime in Damascus has struggled for years to avoid being labelled by the UN as the murderers of the Lebanese leader. It is almost comical to hear the terrorists blame Israel for this murder committed by Hezbollah's patrons.

None of this, however, reduces the real threat that is looming. If the Iranians feel that too much attention is on their nuclear program or a potential attack on that program, they will unleash their proxy fighters from Hezbollah and Hamas. What a sad thing it is to see how truly disgusting the Iranian leadership is.
