On the Drudge site there is a link to an article that points out that California Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown has amassed credit for many more years of service for his state pension than he has actually served. The years were credited under a very small pension plan that is reserved only for elected state officials outside the legislature. Believe it or not, it appears that Brown will get separate pensions from his prior years as governor and from his current service as Attorney General. the double dipping will be ignored in considering his pension; he just gets a double amount.
Brown of late has been making much noise with regard to the Democrats who run the town of Bell California. These folks have been giving themselve enormous salaries and pensions. When confronted, they all retired to their pensions, a move that Brown has decried.
It seems, however, that Brown may need to criticize his own pension as well. What a hypocrite.
