On Tuesday, the Washington Times reported that the union for the agents at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement unanimously passed a "vote of no confidence" for the agency's leadership. The National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council of the American Federation of Government Employees declared that ICE has "abandoned" its basic duty to protect the country instead to support a political agenda namely, amnesty. The vote was 259-0, so this is not just the position of a few malcontents.
Strangely, until I read about this vote on another blog, I had not heard of it. How can that be? A union representing 7000 federal law enforcement workers announces that the Obamacrats have prevented them from enforcing the law but no one hears of it. It is a scandal of major proportions, but no one hears of it. It is a major support for the positions taken by states like Arizona, but no one hears of it. It shows that Obama and the Obamacrats have just been lying when they claim to be enforcing the federal immigration laws, but no one hears of it.
All I can say is thank goodness for the internet. Absent that news outlet, we would still be waiting for the mainstream news organizations to deem an item like this worthy before we would be told of it. Imagine, the very news organizations that call claims that ICE is not enforcing the law nothing more than racist rants now have to decide if the unanimous position of the leadership of the union representing the ICE workers is newsworthy. In a triumph of ideology over truth, news organizations like NBC, CBS, ABC and the New York Times have just kept their mouths shut. After all, why tell the American people of this scandal if it conflicts with ones political view.
Something has to be done quickly to get the word out. If you read this post, please pass it on to two other people and ask them to do the same.
