Senator Sarry Reid broke with President Obama today and said that the mosque should not be built at ground zero. In short, Reid said that while the guarantee of religious liberty permits the construction, it would be preferable if the mosque were built some other place. In short, Reid agreed with what the critics have been saying all along.
it will be interesting to see how many of the liberal press denounce Reid as a bigot now that he has agreed with the position which they previously so described. My guess is that we will not hear any of that; Reid will simply be speaking his mind. On the other hand, the Republicans like Sarah Palin and Newt gingrich who said essentially the same thing will still be excoriated as racist reactionaries. You have to love the press.
