Complete Nonsense

The big headline on Drudge today is that some people are outraged that the Democrats cut the food stamp program to pay for the 26 billion dollars that the Obamacrats are shoveling to the states so that the teachers unions will not have to forego their raises or any of their benefits. This is nonsense. Does anyone really believe that when the time comes the Obamacrats will actually cut food stamps? If you do, you are sorely mistaken. This is just another move by the Obamacrats to try to look like they care about the deficit. If they really cared about the deficit, they would either not give the money to the states or condition its receipt on reductions in state spending for half of the amount given. That would at least push the states to cut by 13 billion.
