Consider these facts:
1. The IRS has been unleashed on the political opponents of the president.
2. The intelligence services and the Department of Homeland Security have functioned as a secret police force collecting the phone information and email, web searches and other internet records of nearly all American citizens.
3. The press is secretly under surveillance by the Department of Justice and the paperwork used to get the secret warrants was filled with lies.
4. The president has chosen to ignore enforcement of laws he does not like and to change laws the way he wants without getting Congressional approval.
5. Even when the federal courts have ruled that actions of the president were illegal and unconstitutional, the federal agencies responsible to the president have continued to move forward with those actions.
Now just imagine what would be happening if the president were George Bush and not Barack Obama. The media would be in melt down trying to expose all of this. The Democrats in Congress would be calling for impeachment. There would be marches and demonstrations. We would be told that it is the end of the American democracy.
The sad thing is that the reaction, were this Bush instead of Obama, is the correct one. Obama is subverting our democracy. Obama is liable for impeachable offenses. Sadly, however, the media is more interested in promoting their liberal agenda than in preserving America and its Constitutional form of government. The Democrats in Washington are so venal that they care only about their own power (if you doubt that, show me the ones who are lambasting Obama for his consistent ignoring of his responsibilities under the Constitution.)
