Michelle Obama's current vacation in Spain is costing US taxpayers about $80,000 per day according to the London Daily Mail. Wow! As I have said before, I do not care how many vacations the President or his wife take. I do object to this type of extraordinary expenditure when so many in this country cannot make ends meet. Michelle could easily have gone to a posh resort in the US for a fraction of the cost. Indeed, she should be paying for all of this (other than Secret Service costs) out of her own pocket.
Remember the uproar from the Democrats when Bush used to go to his ranch in Crawford? Too many days off was the cry. My guess is that George Bush never spent taxpayers' money in one year what Michelle is spending for one week of vacation.
The Obamas should be ashamed. Of course, they are not. No surprise there.
