German Motors??

Over the last few days, I keep seeing the television ad for the Buick Regal. General Motors repeatedly touts this new car as being "German engineered." I have to say that this is extremely annoying. the US taxpayer shelled out close to a hundred billion dollars to keep GM afloat over the last two years. We were told by Obama that we were saving jobs in the US. I guess that was just another lie. Is there any conceivable reason why GM would have this car designed in Germany? Are American designers not good enough? Is it built in Germany as well, or does GM use its factories in Mexico for that? In short, why is it that the jobs saved by the American taxpayers are in other countries? We need jobs here. Let the Germans find their own way forward.
