Booker And The Dems -- Sounds Like a Rock Group, But It's Not Show Biz, but Rather Show Boating

Senator Booker of New Jersey is up to his old tricks.  Today, Booker released some emails to and from Brett Kavanaugh back from the days when he worked in the Bush administration.  The emails were marked confidential, although I do not know why that is.  Under the Senate rules, release of these emails was a violation for which Booker could actually be expelled from the Senate.  When Senator Cornyn of Texas suggested to Booker that it might be better to follow the rules and not release the emails, Booker went ballistic, said he was ready to bear the consequences and released the emails.  A bunch of Democrats then followed suit and released other documents in violation of the rules.

It's hard to imagine that Booker didn't bother to follow the senate rules.  What's the point of the rules if they are going to be ignored.  Truly, it doesn't matter what is in the emails that got them marked confidential 16 years ago when they were written.  Booker just had to get approval in advance to release them.

I know that Booker won't be expelled from the Senate, and he knows it too.  Nevertheless, it would be nice if the Senate followed its own rules for once and booted this showboating fool who thinks life is only about pushing his chances to be the Democrats presidential nominee in 2020.

By the way, the emails in question contain a debate about policies to be followed by the immigration and TSA people in looking to find potential terrorists seeking to board planes or enter the country.  The debate is about whether or not it would be appropriate to use race to pick out potential terrorists.  In other words, back right after 9-11 was it permissible to have the TSA more thoroughly scrutinize Arab passengers seeking to board US planes?  Kavanaugh's participation in the debate consisted more about the process than the policy.  It was more about coming up with the best way to prevent terrorism without violating constitutional rights than anything else.  Most important, it says nothing about Kavanaugh's qualifications to be on the Supreme Court.  Given that, why is Booker putting on his big show?

UPDATE:  It's important to add what just came out about Cory Booker and his games.  The emails in question here were cleared for release yesterday, and Booker was told.  That means that he was lying when he supposedly released these email improperly.  He only did this stuff when he knew that he couldn't be hit with any consequences.  Even so, he lied to America to try to look heroic to the Dem base.  How dumb does he think they are?
