The media lost a big opportunity; hurricane Florence is losing its punch and the other three hurricanes in the Atlantic were downgraded to tropical storms. If the predictions are correct, Florence will soon dissipate over land after coming ashore with less than 100 mph winds. This is still a dangerous storm, but it's not the "major" hurricane the media wanted so that they could talk about global warming. The other three storms are falling apart without ever hitting land in a significant manner.
Just think how upset they must be at liberal news outlets like Vox. This was to be a "teachable moment" about global warming, even if the hurricanes are really unrelated to climate change. Now, we have just a run of the mill hurricane in the Carolinas (which is, of course, a very bad thing) and no other real storms (at least for now).
I'm sure we'll see all the global warming stories anyway. These hurricanes were all due to climate change, right? They're all the fault of Donald Trump, right? I wonder if these media people realize that most Americans see right through their garbage? It doesn't seem so.
