The media is in the midst of an all out war on Brett Kavanaugh. It's amazing. Yesterday's confirmation hearing consisted of a bunch of shrieking protesters put in the room by the Democrats, a litany of blow hard Democrat senators pretending to care about documents regarding the nominee, repeated attempts to stop the hearing, and a few questions to Kavanaugh about some rather mundane things. Today, we are moving on more to questions for Kavanaugh. Most questions seem to have been written by staff and to have been seen for the first time by the senator at the hearing. It's impossible to believe that someone like senator Leahy of Vermont wrote the questions he asked. I mean Leahy is get on in years, but he's not brain dead (yet). He must be embarrassed to have uttered the questions presented to Kavanaugh.
Despite the silly performance by the Democrats, though, the media is still trying to smash Kavanaugh. There is a big deal over whether or not the judge shook hands with one of the parents of a student shot in Parkland, Florida. There's another big controversy over whether or not one of Kavanauagh's clerks made a supposed white power gesture while sitting at the hearing. This one is worse than the rest. The woman who supposedly made this gesture was born in Mexico and one of her grandparents is a holocaust survivor. On top of this, the interent is filled with pictures of Barack Obama making the same gesture. Was he signaling support for white power too? Finally, it seems as if no one knew that the gesture in question had anything to do with white power until that was announced today. The media is also declaring that Kavanaugh's nomination is in jeopardy. No senator has announced that he or she is switching sides to oppose Kavanaugh. Nothing has changed. Nevertheless, the media still announces it. It's just Fake News.
