There was an op-ed published this afternoon by the NY Times. It was supposedly written by an anonymous high official in the Trump administration. My guess is that this is Fake News.
Think about it. The supposed official says that the cabinet considered using the 25th Amendment to remove the President. Really? All those people supposedly discussed removing the President from office many months ago, and word of that never leaked out? Everything leaks in Washington. For sure, something that involved all the cabinet secretaries would have leaked. Indeed, the cabinet would undoubtedly have discussed this with various under-secretaries and assistant secretaries and attorneys. We are supposed to believe that NONE of them leaked? No way; that's just not possible. So when the supposed high official who wrote the op-ed (if there really is one) tells us that the cabinet considered using the 25th Amendment process, he might just as well have said that he was lying.
It is an amazing coincidence, is it not, that this op-ed from an unnamed source comes out just after the start of the campaign for congressional election. And the NY Times, the ring-leader of the liberal media cabal happens to be the place that publishes it.
On top of this, we have the new book from Bob Woodward that trashes Trump and quotes so many different cabinet secretaries criticizing the President. Of course, the Woodward book has been denounced as containing phony quotes by people like general Mattis, the Secretary of Defense, and general Kelly, the White House chief of staff. These two generals are said by Woodward to have denounced the President in no uncertain terms, something that the generals deny.
The reality is that we are witnessing a coordinated attack by the media on the President in an attempt to drive his approval down and to help the Democrats in the November election. It's a pack of lies. It's #FakeNews.
If there's really an official who wrote the op-ed, let him come forward and say all of this to the public. There is no such person. It's all bogus.
