Brett Kavanaugh is about to be confirmed as a justice on the Supreme Court. For the Democrats and their media affiliates, that outcome doesn't seem to matter. They are still spouting nonsense about how Kavanaugh is single-handedly going to end a woman's right to choose and abortion. Kavanaugh never said that in his hearings. He never said that in his decisions. He even talked about Roe v Wade as a precedent which needs to be followed. It doesn't matter. We get articles, like one today from yahoo News, in which supposed reporters tell us that the way Kavanaugh spoke, it is clear that his plan is to overturn Roe. That's the rough equivalent of Republicans saying that from the way Chuck Schumer speaks it's clear that he has a plan to launch a military coup. It's just crazy talk.
The problem is that the crazy talk is repeated over and over again by the cheerleaders in the Democrat media. There are just too many people in the country who didn't listen to Kavanaugh or who have little understanding of what was said. Many actually believe the lies pouring out of the media.
Even worse, the entire argument is presented in a phony way. If Kavanaugh were to join with four other judges on the Supreme Court and overrule the Roe case, all that would happen is that each state could then pass its own abortion laws. Does anyone really think that states would just outlaw abortion? I don't. Might there be new restrictions in some states? Sure, there would be 50 different laws on abortion, so there would be some variation. Some states, like New York, would probably provide that abortion is always available. Indeed, if you listen to the Democrats in NYC, you would conclude that they think that abortion up to one year after the birth of the child is fine.
It's sad that the Dems think that by lying to the public about abortion they can gain more votes in November. Supposedly, these are public servants. The Democrats, however, seem to think they are running to be overlords. If they can fool enough people with their lies, the Democrats might be able to get their power back.
