I want to congratulate all those who wore orange yesterday in support of gun control, or as the current formulation goes "common sense gun safety measures" (which is the same as confiscating all weapons.) Because of the people wearing orange yesterday, the world has changed today. No longer are their multiple gun killings in Chicago. No longer do criminals get illegal weapons which they use to commit crimes. No longer is gang violence a scourge across the country. The drug cartels have also given up using guns. Indeed, the way I hear it, all those criminals who used to use guns are now deciding all disputes by arm wrestling their opponents.
It's worth sometimes looking at the meaningless garbage that gets touted as "doing something" by many on the left. Instead of pressuring the federal, state and local governments to enforce existing gun laws (which might actually make a difference in crime and murder rates), we have the sartorial effort of wearing orange.
