Over at Powerline, Paul Mirengoff has an article that recounts the history of the last few years of attempts by president Obama and other Democrats to cozy up to Bashir al Assad, the murderous Syrian dictator. He does a great job in covering everything from Nancy Pelosi's trip to Damascus which undercut the isolation of Assad, to John Kerry's proclamation that Syria is the key to Mideast peace, the Obama's description of Assad as a "reformer" even after Assad began killing his own people. I recommend that you check it out.
