The biggest health insurance company in America, United Healthcare announced that it will still allow children to stay on their parents health plans until age 26 and that it will still allow preventive care with no co-pay even if the Supreme Court strikes down Obamacare. The news is actually pretty funny. For the last two weeks, there have been numerous articles in the media about the terrible consequences if the court invalidates Obamacare. The principal reason given is that those 26 year old children will no longer be elligible for insurance from their parents and that preventive care will suddenly get more expensive. It has been a rather shoddy attempt at pressuring the Supreme Court not to strike down the law because of all the "harm" That would do. Now, because of that pressure, United Healthcare has felt compelled to reassure its customers that they will not suffer if the law is struck down. That also happens to reassure the justices of the Supreme Court in case they were worried about this result. Indeed, the court goes from having unknown consequences for such a decision to being secure in the knowledge that there will not be adverse consequences of this sort. Once again, the Obamacare proponents make the case stronger for the opponents.

United is in it for United.
They want to keep parents paying for childrens healthcare as long as possible.
Healthcare profit is much higher on the younger age demographics when compared to premiums
