At the Weekly Standard, Elliott Abrams is out with a piece called Wistful in Jerusalem. It is worth reading. Abrams recounts what he heard from Israeli leaders during his recent visit to that country. In short, it is not that the USA lacks the power to achieve its ends, but rather than it seems to lack the will.
