A Hull Lotta Leaving Going On

On June 6th, IRS Washington-based attorney Carter Hull was the first DC staffer identified by name as being directly involved in the persecution of conservative groups and individuals by the IRS.  Hull's name surfaced in the testimony of IRS field agents in Cincinnati which was given to investigators for the House Oversight committee.

As we have seen, requests for information about any of the scandals like Benghazi or the IRS or the secret surveillance of reporters have taken long periods before any response has been forthcoming from the Obama administration.  Frequently, there has been no coherent response to reasonable and proper questions.  In the matter of Hull, however, things seem to have changed.  No, the Obama administration did not offer any information about Carter Hull to investigators.  Instead, the administration "sadly" accepted the news that Carter Hull was "retiring".

As the Church Lady on SNL used to say, "How convenient!"

In a flash after his name surfaced, Hull is out at the IRS.  By retiring, Hull undoubtedly preserves all his benefits and pension rights.  He will not be fired or disciplined for involvement in harassment of conservative groups and inviduals.  Absent appointment of a special prosecutor, Hull will not be held criminally liable for any crimes he may have committed; after all, Eric Holder's Justice Department is not about to indict a loyal soldier for Obama like Hull.  What the Obamacrats have done, then, is to put Hull into the equivalent of the witness protection program.

Isn't it amazing just how fast that Obama and the Obamacrats can move when their misconduct is discovered?
