Modest -- that's right -- Modest

President Obama, speaking today in California before his meeting with the Chinese president, spoke about the NSA surveillance programs that are being used to track phone calls, email, video, photographs, documents and the like all across America.  Obama called the program necessary and a "modest encroachment on privacy."  Even for Obama, this was outrageous.  The government keeps tabs on the phone calls, email, etc. of every person in America and it is a MODEST encroachment on privacy.  MODEST!!!!!!!!!

Is Obama kidding?

In keeping with Obama's statement today, I think that we ought to change just a few commonly used terms.

1.  We will now use "modest encroachment on life" instead of capital punishment.

2.  We will now talk about the "modest encroachment on peace" instead of war.

3.  Cancer will be now called a "modest encroachment on health."

4.  Speeches by Obama will now be called "modest encroachments on truth."
