Really?

Today in California president Obama was asked about the latest disclosures that the NSA is collecting phone records, email, photographs, documents, and the like from millions across America.  Here is Obama's response:

"When it comes to telephone calls, nobody is listening to your telephone calls."

Does that make anyone feel better about this?  If it does, remember when Obama told us on The View that the Benghazi attack was likely a response to a youtube video (even though he knew that was false.)

Do you remember when Obama told us that Sequestration was a "Republican idea" when it actually was Obama's own idea?

Do you remember when Obama's spokesman told us that the White House changed nothing in the Benghazi talking points other than correcting a reference that said "embassy" to "diplomatic post" when the email about the changes show heavy White House editing of the talking points?

Do you remember when Obama told us that his administration would never allow the IRS to be misused and we later learn that the IRS illegally gave confidential tax information to the co-chair of the Obama campaign which then got used to smear Mitt Romney and others?

Do you remember when Obama told us that no one at the White House knew about the IRS targeting of conservatives and then we found out that they had known for months if not years about it?

How about this old chestnut:  "The Affordable Care Act will bring down insurance costs by about $2500 per family."  It is turning out that Obama care is causing increases of up to 145% in premiums.

Then there is this one:  Obamacare will reduce the federal deficit.  Now that is a long term projection, so it is harder to say it was a lie.  Nevertheless, since the latest projections show that close to two trillion dollars will be added to the deficit due to Obamacare, it still sure seems like Obama was lying.

I am not going to go all the way down the list.  There are countless others which could be added here, but the point is simple.  No one in his right mind, and I mean nobody, could take any comfort from hearing president Obama announce that nobody is listening to your phone calls.  Remember, in two days or two weeks, when we learn that the feds are, in fact, listening in, Obama will tell us that he is outraged and that nobody told him about that before.
