The Hillary Clinton press machine has gone into overdrive to promote Hillzilla's speech today in California as a "major foreign policy address". That's pretty funny because after more than a year of campaigning, the only foreign policy address the Hillster has previous discussed is the location of the State Department. So what is Hillary talking about today? Is she laying out her vision for dealing with ISIS? Is she going to explain why in the world she pushed so hard to overthrow Gadaffi in Libya, a move that created a failed state and an incubator for terrorists in that North African country? Is she going to explain why she supported the "reset" with Russia which dropped all the sanctions of the "world community" that she and president Obama so treasure that arose in response to the Russian invasion of Georgia just a few months earlier? Is she going to explain why American relations with Russia have reached such a low point despite the glorious "reset"? Is she going to tell the nation why the USA treated Israel so miserably while she was Secretary of State? Will Hillary explain how we negotiated a trade deal that she used to call the "gold standard" of trade deals and now won't even support? In other words, will she tell us why she was such a poor leader when it came to foreign policy? Will the voters get to know her plan to improve our foreign policy? The answer to all these questions is a resounding NO!! Hillary's speech today is billed as an attack on Donald Trump. That's right, the woman with the terrible record when it comes to foreign policy is going to explain what's wrong with her opponent's views.
According to the breathless media reports, the Clintonian warning will be that Trump will threaten the World Order. I guess that is supposed to be a bad thing. After all, who would want to threaten a World Order that brings us 1) a nuclear armed Iran; 2) a triumphant ISIS attacking and growing world wide; 3) a dangerous confrontation with Russia and its planes and ships in international waters; 4) a China which is seizing control of the South China Sea, one of the most important bodies of international waters of the world; 5) a sagging relationship even with Canada which is still unhappy over the shabby treatment it received with regard to the Keystone Pipeline debacle; 6) a nearly non-existant relationship with Egypt, once America's close friend in the Arab world; 7) a tarnished and deteriorating relationship with the Saudis and the other key Sunni nations of the Middle East as the USA has moved away from them; and many other disasters. And let's not forget the continuing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq which are still claiming American lives. That's a hell of a terrible World Order.
So Trump is threatening to change those things? And Hillary's pitch is that this is a bad thing? Really? No wonder the Hillster keeps slipping in the polls.
