The big media story today is that President Trump said that the virus was made in the Chinese lab in Wuhan and that's wrong. After all, the WHO and US intelligence disagrees. The problem with this story is that it is false. The President didn't say the virus was "made in" the lab but rather he said that the virus "came from" the Wuhan lab. That's not wrong. The assessment of the intelligence services of the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand agree that the virus was released from the lab. The original Chinese disinformation story that the virus came from the wet market in Wuhan is pretty much dead at this point.
What we don't yet know is whether the virus is man made or natural. We also don't know if the virus release was accidental or intentional. As of now, it seems that the virus is more likely natural although some experts disagree. There is also no clear evidence that China intentionally released the virus.
Once again, Trump was correct in what he said, but the media changed the words so that they could criticize him about it.
Just how dishonest is the mainstream media, anyway?
