A Disgrace That Says a Lot

Do you know Rashida Tlaib?  If you follow the mainstream media or other far left sources, you will know her as the "first Palestinian-American woman in Congress."  She took John Conyers' seat in Michigan when he retired by winning the Democrat primary (she was unopposed in the general elections.)  That gets said as if it is a big deal.  Once you get to know her, though, you will quickly learn that going from Conyers to Tlaib was a big step down for Congress (if that is possible.)

In any event Rashida is in the news today because of a speech she gave to the far left Soros-funded organization Moveon.org.  In the speech she told an anecdote about how after she won, her young son said to her that her victory proved that bullies don't always win.  According to Tlaib, she told her son that he was right and as for the biggest bully of them all, President Trump, "we're going to impeach the motherf__ker."  She got thunderous applause from the Moveon crowd according to reports.

Think about that speech and what it says about Tlaib as a person and a politician.

First, remember that Tlaib said that this is what she told her young son.  I was appalled by the language she used to a child, her own son.  That doesn't say much for her parenting skills in my opinion.  I guess I'm old fashioned, but I don't think that a parent should encourage a child to see that language as appropriate.

Second, remember that the people Tlaib beat (who are the supposed bullies) were all Democrats.  Her district is perhaps the most Democrat of any in the country-- or at least in the top five.  She beat another woman who had been the leader of the Detroit City Council and three other Democrats in the primary.  I guess they were the bullies.  It seems bizarre that within days of taking office, Tlaib is publically calling her primary opponents (who she beat by a tiny margin) "bullies".

Hopefully, one of those bullies will come back to beat her next time.
