A few days ago, Israeli planes attacked Iranian and Hezbollah facilities inside Syria. These were mostly weapons storage depots. When the attack occurred, the Syrians announced that they had shot down nearly all of the Israeli missiles launched from the Israeli aircraft. Iran said that no facilities were hit and that the missiles that did get through the anti-missile screen hit nothing but open land. In a rare comment from the Israeli government, we were told that the missiles had all hit their targets and that Iranian storage depots had been destroyed.
Today, the Israelis released satellite photos that showed the damage to the main target, a building holding Iranian weapons at the Damascus airport.

You have to wonder why the Assad regime in Syria and the Iranians feel compelled to lie about what happened when it is so easy to prove the truth. They had to know that the truth would be demonstrated.
It's important to always keep in mind that Syria and Iran seem never to tell the truth.
