Once Again The Media Goes Berserk

There's a line in a court filing that somehow was "overlooked" when the redactions were put in place.  The filing by the Mueller team mentioned that Paul Manafort shared some unidentified polling data with Konstantin Kilimnik.  The mainstream media calls Kilimnik a "suspected Russian spy" or a person with ties to Russian intelligence.  In other words, this is the smoking gun that ties the Trump campaign to Russia -- or so says the mainstream media.  Except that's not true.

Manafort and Kilimnik are old business associates.  In 2012, Manafort was a partner in a venture that was begun in Ukraine.  This venture employed Kilimnik as the local manager in Kiev, the Ukrainian capital.  Manafort and Kilimnik worked together for years on matters in Ukraine.  It would not be unusual for Manafort to discuss polling data with his business associate; it certainly isn't a "link" to Russian intelligence.

The truth is that I find it suspicious that Mueller just happened to fail to redact this filing today just before the President is to give his speech on the crisis at the border.  What better way is there to try to draw attention away from Trump's speech than to give this sort of misleading info to the media?

We don't know if Kilimnik actually has any ties to the Russian intelligence agencies.  No proof is offered.  It's just an allegation.  Remember, though, that these same people alleged that Carter Page has ties to Russian intelligence (which he does not.)
