From yesterday afternoon until late this morning, the big headline on my Yahoo News feed was "Senior Republicans Issue Stern Warning to Trump". The article was about some comments made on the Sunday morning shows by a Republican senator in which he said that he would prefer that the President not issue a declaration of an emergency in order to build the wall because it might set a bad precedent. It was hardly a "stern warning."
Of course, things change. As a result, the new big headline on my Yahoo News is "Top Congressional Democrats Issue Stern Warning to Trump." This is about a few Democrats who said that the President shouldn't try to interfere with the upcoming testimony of Michael Cohen to a congressional committee. The article was about these Democrats supposedly trying to head off something that wasn't happening anyway.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring. Maybe "Well Known Independents Issue Stern Warning to Trump." After all, why should Yahoo leave out the Independents?
