Last weekend with the government in the midst of a partial shutdown, nearly all the House Democrats went to Puerto Rico (for four days) to mingle with their contributors and with lobbyists. Much of their time was spent on the beach in the sun. Now that the House is back after that long weekend, the Democrats got right down to work, right? NOPE. The House voted today to adjourn for the next 11 days. They won't be back until January 27, right before the scheduled State of the Union speech.
Think about that. The government is partially shut down and the Democrats keep blaming the President. That's preposterous since there has yet to be any funding bill presented to President Trump. Rather than trying to negotiate a reasonable settlement of the dispute, the Dems are just leaving Washington for some additional vacation. They scream and cry about the terrible suffering of the people affected by the partial shutdown, but they won't even make an attempt to end the shutdown. The Democrats prefer to have the shutdown continue so that they can complain about it.
This is truly disgusting.
