Democrat governor of Virginia Ralph Northam has been in hot water for supporting post birth abortion and for posting racist photos in his medical school yearbook in the mid 1980s. While some people have said that the pictures were a one-time thing and ought to be overlooked, this excuse is failing. Northam's yearbook from his undergraduate days at VMI has now been posted on line as well. Amazingly, Northam listed his nickname in the VMI yearbook as "coonman".
It's hard to imagine that in the 1980's someone would actually claim that nickname.
It seems pretty clear that Northam has a rather racist history. The funny thing is that Northam won the governor's race in Virginia by falsely claiming the Republican candidate Ed Gilespie was a racist because he supported taking action against the MS-13 gang.
