The Senate Judiciary Committee just voted to approve the nomination of William Barr to be Attorney General and to pass the nomination to the full senate for a final vote. Here's the problem: the vote was 12 to 10 with all Republicans voting yes and all Democrats voting no. Barr is a well respected Washington attorney who also was Attorney General under George H W Bush. It is inconceivable that every single Democrat on the committee found him not qualified for the post. Nevertheless, every Democrat voted against him just because he is Trump's nominee.
If the country is ever going to come together again, it will require some measure of honesty and decency from the Democrats. Today's vote shows that the Democrats have no desire to do anything but to obstruct.
