SOTU

Tonight is the State of the Union speech by President Trump.  It was postponed during the recent partial government shutdown.  It will be interesting to see how the President plays it.  Will it be the traditional litany of items interspersed with vignettes about someone in the gallery?  Will it be more focused on one or two issues in a way that could actually help move the debate forward?  Just imagine if Trump spent 15 minutes discussing immigration and another 15 minutes explaining trade issues.  With one speech (and the huge audience), Trump could get his position to the American people unedited without the filter of the chattering morons on the mainstream media.  That would be followed by what I expect will be an angry reply by the Democrats' failed candidate for governor of Georgia in 2018.  Were Trump to actually focus on one or two issues, Stacy Abrams would have nothing really to say in response.  Hopefully, the President will take this approach.
