The Drumbeat of Lies Never Ends

The articles about how tax refunds are lower than in the past is continuing.  It's amazing.  For the whole of 2018, American workers got higher take home pay every week because the withholding rates were adjusted to conform to the lower tax rates set by the new law.  Now, at the end of the year, the media is ignoring all the extra money that workers took home all year and, instead, is complaining that refunds are a bit lower than last year.  The workers are getting, on average, about $2000 more in take home pay but since the tax refund portion of that is lower, the media is publicizing this and complaining about it.

I think the level of dishonesty from the media is totally amazing.  The people writing about this subject can't be so stupid that they don't understand the truth of the situation, but it doesn't stop them from lying anyway.
