Ferguson and the Need For Order

The grand jury in Missouri did not indict the policeman who shot and killed a young black man.  The reaction to this event is insane, and it demonstrates in many ways what is wrong with the country.

Let's start at the top.  Maybe it's just me, but I thought that president Obama seemed angry with the jury's decision.  Obama did not see all the evidence.  He did not hear the witnesses testify.  Remember, Obama is a man who usually tells us that he did not know about something (that he ought to know about) but just learned the facts on TV.  Now he's angry about a jury decision?  Really?

Then there is the media.  The guy who was killed was always called the "unarmed" teen in every story I heard for months.  It seemed as if that was part of his name.  We heard countless reports about how he was shot in the back.  Then we heard even more stories about how he had his hands up to surrender when he was shot.  We know from three different autopsies performed on the body that these reports cannot be true (It's hard to get shot in the back if there are no entry wounds there.)  Even so, as recently as this past week, as we have awaited the jury decision, I heard more televised reports about Michael Brown being shot in the back or while his hands were raised.  In other words, the media reported false news that could only inflame the situation.  It's disgusting.

Next there is the local prosecutor.  He made a lengthy statement about the process followed by the grand jury and his office.  It sounded reasonable and proper.  He deserves credit for it.  On the other hand, for many days after the shooting, key details of the event that could have defused the situation were not released to the public.  It is one thing for the police to shoot an unarmed teen with his hands up to surrender.  It is entirely a different thing for the police to be physically attacked by a robbery suspect who then gets fatally shot while charging the officer for a further assault.

And how about the local police?  It has obviously been made clear to the local looters and rioters that nothing will happen to them when they act up.  That is a mistake.  We should be seeing mass arrests.  By not enforcing the law when businesses are burned and individuals attacked, the police are just inviting more unrest.

No one comes out of this mess looking good.  We need to start looking at situations like these without considering political correctness or community demands.  Only then will order return.

The Black Leaders or so called leaders need to advise their communities that breaking the law and respecting the law is their responsibility, Any and all perpetrators of violence and destruction should be brought to justice---in accordance with our laws,
If they don't agree to follow the law they should live in another Country, America is DONE ALLOWING The RACE CARD to be used to justify BREAKING THE LAW.
