The Air Is Dank In Buenos Aires

In a shocking bit of news today, it has been revealed that there was a draft of an arrest warrant for the president and foreign minister of Argentina in the trash of Alberto Nisman, the prosecutor who was murdered in Buenos Aires.  The warrant alleges that both president Kirschner and the foreign minister had tried to prevent the arrest of certain Iranian officials for their part in the worst terror attack in Argentine history.  Nisman was found dead in his apartment on the day prior to his scheduled testimony to the Argentine congress about his ongoing investigation into the terror attack and the cover up of the perpetrators.  Immediately once his body was found, the president tweeted that he had committed suicide.  President Kirschner also put out details about communications with Nisman that later turned out to be false.  A forensic examination of the site of Nisman's death led to the conclusion that he was murdered and had not committed suicide.

So who killed Nisman?  Was it the Iranians who did not want to be implicated in the bombing that killed nearly 100 people?  Was it the president who tried to block the arrest of any Iranians for that crime (in exchange for what?)  Was it someone else?

One thing is certain:  something is rotten in the state of Argentina.  It's truly a shame.  Argentina and Buenos Aires in particular are beautiful places filled with extremely warm people.  How did they get to this point?
