The jobs figures for January were just released by the government. There were about 250,000 jobs "created" and unemployment went up to 5.7% from 5.6% last month. The report is fine but not much of an indicator with regard to where the economy will be heading. Let me rephrase that. There appears to be no big turns coming in the economy as indicated by these figures. That is good, but not great news.
