This Is Surprising -- Hillary Tanking

The latest poll in New Hampshire among Democrats show that their choice for president in 2016 is 44% for Hillary Clinton and 25% for Elizabeth Warren (with others trailing behind.)  The poll was taken earlier this week.

Let's start with the obvious:  the poll really means nothing much at all.  It is a year until the primary in New Hampshire and everything can and will change repeatedly before then.  What is interesting, however, is that instead of the usual lead of at least 40% for Clinton, she is ahead by a mere 19%.  If other polls confirm this shrinking lead, it could be an indication of major problems for Mrs. Clinton.

New Hampshire is different from many of the other states because senator Warren comes from neighboring Massachusetts, so she is better known in New Hampshire than elsewhere.  If Clinton is only beating a freshman senator who says she is not running by under 20%, it shows that Hillary can be beaten.  A few more polls like this may bring other Democrats forward to try for the nomination.
